A novel is not a 400-page script

A 90,000-word novel is often a 110-page feature if you keep about half the plot and most of the spine. This converter uses ~750 story-words per screenplay page after you set how much you will cut. Limited series assumes ~50 pages per episode over 6–8 hours of story.

Frequently asked questions

Why 750 words per script page?

Novels are dense. Scripts are mostly white space. You are converting story mass, not copying paragraphs.

{# Converter success dialog. Only rendered on the converter tools, and only shown once a conversion has actually succeeded. The Zen Writer CTA is presented first, but the download stays in the dialog as a real button rather than a line of text at the bottom: the visitor's own task has to be finishable from here without dismissing anything, and the site never gates a free conversion behind a signup, an email or an install. #}
