Logline Builder & Pitch Grader

Four fields. One logline. A score for voice, irony, goal, and stakes.

Pitch grade —

    {# The contextual promotion. Hidden until the tool has produced a result, so the visitor's own task is finished before the app is mentioned. `tool.hook` is written per tool in website/tools.py — a viewer sells editing, a formatter sells automatic formatting — which is why this is not a single generic banner. #}

    Movie logline formula

    A working logline names a protagonist, an inciting disruption, a concrete goal, and a clock or cost. Irony helps: the person least suited to the job is the one who must do it. Keep it roughly 25–50 words, active verbs, no thesis statements.

    Frequently asked questions

    What is a screenplay logline?

    One or two sentences that sell the story: who, what they want, why it matters now.

    Should a logline include the ending?

    No. Stakes and the central conflict, not the resolution.

    {# Converter success dialog. Only rendered on the converter tools, and only shown once a conversion has actually succeeded. The Zen Writer CTA is presented first, but the download stays in the dialog as a real button rather than a line of text at the bottom: the visitor's own task has to be finishable from here without dismissing anything, and the site never gates a free conversion behind a signup, an email or an install. #}
